The 2019 Utrecht Lectures: Sacramental Participation

Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Utrecht is supporting the hosting of a biannual seminar bringing in lecturers from around the world to enliven and deepen our theological discussion. Psalms of Jerusalem in the Stiltecentrum

The Stiltecentrum will bring Kerkennacht 2019 to a close with the singing of Psalms of Jerusalem in the chapel of the Stiltecentrum Sunday afternoon 23rd June 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm The Psalms of Ascent (Hamalaäloth) will be sung as they are traditionally sung in the Jewish Synagogues and in the Monasteries, bus also as they are sung in the Anglican and Protestant churches. Concert “ChoRuss” February 1st

On Friday February 1st the Russian vocal ensemble “ChoRuss”will be singing at Holy Trinity Church. We are fortunate to have them back to sing a beautiful selection of Russian Orthodox music and folk songs. The concert starts at 8:00 pm, doors open at  7:30 pm. The concert lasts approximately one and a half hours, including a break. Admission free, donations are welcome.

Mofish Concert

On 18th of August, Mofish will be performing their annual concert. This year it will be a memorial concert in honour of the Reverend John de Wit, the former minister at Holy Trinity church, who passed away this June. Sunday road closures and detours in connection with the Utrecht Science Park Marathon

Sunday March 18th, a number of roads around the Wilhelminapark will be closed from 11:00 onwards and detours will be in place. This is because the Utrecht Science Park Marathon route takes the runners from the Prins Hendrikstraat through the Wilhelminapark, and along Oudwijk and the Emmalaan. Lichtjestocht on 15th December

As is customary, the Lichtjestocht started at Holy Trinity with the proclamation of Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be taxed. After the choir sent the emperor’s people on their way to Bethlehem with a rendering of ‘We wish you a merry Christmas’ , the lighted way then wound itself through the park and the neighbourhood to the Wilhelminakerk and the St Aloysiuskerk.
