The Anglican Chaplaincy in Utrecht has been doing some serious gardening this past year! We have a small church building in Utrecht and for the last few of years had the “problem” of bursting at the seams. Our church can fit 90 to 100 comfortably but we often had 130 and many more for major services, and even with adding three early morning services per month (and many chairs) we were finding ourselves overfull. I write about my trip to Armenia and Georgia because it was a pilgrimage for me. Armenia and Georgia are the first two countries in the world to have become officially Christian, Armenia in 301AD and Georgia in 327AD. My hope was to learn about and be inspired by those who first brought the faith to that land and to understand the history of their Church and visit the holy sites.

Walking in Prayer Grace Church Groningen also answered the call of the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, with their ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ (see thykingdom.co.uk) initiative, to devote the week before Pentecost to prayer.
