Following a period of prayer, consultation and discussion, the church council decided to adopt a new service pattern starting in February 2025. This will initially be for a trial period of four months and will involve two Sunday morning services in place of the single one we have had up to now.
The current 10.30 service will move to 11.00, with the choir leading our sung worship. Coffee will be available afterwards as always. A second, earlier service will take place at 9.30, with the same liturgy, readings and sermon, and including Holy Communion. This service will be slightly shorter, finishing at around 10.45, and will have Sunday school provision for our children and coffee afterwards.
The monthly Dutch 9.00 service will move to the first Sunday of the month, and the all-age service will follow it, at the later time of 11.00 and followed by the bring and share lunch. Where there is a fifth Sunday in the month, we will hold two Solemn Eucharists: the 9.30 without incense, and the 11.00 with incense.
We start with the new schedule on Sunday 2 February.
