The Mystical dimension of the Liturgy

On Friday October 13, the Christian Classics Study Group will explore the mystical dimension of the liturgy. We will look at questions such as, What is the deeper meaning of that which is celebrated in the liturgy? How does the liturgy symbolise and deepen our inner relationship with God? Starting point for our discussion will be selected texts from late medieval mystics of the Low Countries which address the relationship between the liturgy of the Church…

Kids Choir

We’re starting up again! The kids’ choir has been running for several months now and the children have already sung for us on a few occasions. This season we think it would be great if we could start contributing more regularly to church services, by hopefully singing every first Sunday in the month (during the all-age worship services). To reach this goal we could use some help, and that is where you come in! We…

This initiative originated after the refugee influx into Europe in September 2015 and was aimed at supporting the refugees in Utrecht through various works and organisations.  Holy Trinity Utrecht has financially supported these efforts through USRK.

Our Lord all Radiant

This submission is from a member of the congregation at Holy Trintiy Utrecht, who was encouraged to share her experience during worship, and who wishes to remain anonymous. November 2016, All Souls On that Sunday I went to Church especially because I had an appointment with my cousin. Kerkennacht 2017

At Holy Trinity Church, for Kerkennacht, we will sing (as in Job 35 and Acts 16) Psalms through the Night.  The choir of our church, with the cooperation of others, will be singing all the Psalms in the great variety of ways we know in the Netherlands during the 12 hours after opening the doors on Saturday evening at 19:00. Undoubtedly, Jesus himself also sang psalms in the synagogue and at home.
